In addition to the functions, duties and powers mentioned in Section 30 of the Act, the functions, duties and powers of the Committee shall be as follows:-

(a) Accept the annual report submitted by the Centre.

(b) giving necessary instructions to the center regarding the import of waste management technology,

(c) approving the guidelines and standards prepared by the center,

(d) ) to perform other tasks as required.
